Thee Temple ov thee Lemur - Mission to Mars

In Flight

The flight proceeded as planned until 0700 hours when suddenly one of the shoddy NASA computers we had borrowed collapsed under the sheer weight of data passing through it. Our staff made desperate attempts to repair it but to no avail.

By 0720 we were getting panicy and dispatched a team to Alaska in the North American continent (that being the bit of Earth nearest "Therion" at the time). After several more hours work with the portable uplink the team was able to re-establish contact with the craft.

The data we got back indicated that our mission had already reached Mars in a mere six and three quarter hours. What NASA's tardy rockets get to up there, we'll never know.

We sent the signal for the lander module to be dropped onto the Martian surface...
